We love you Yangzom. Thank you and here’s to many more years to come!

Q: What’s your name?
A: Yangzom T.

Q: What three words would you say describe you best?
A: Loyal, Honest, Spiritual

Q: When did you join the UPLevel Work Family?
A: July 12, 1999

Q: What is your role with UPLevel?
A: Manager, Debt Recovery

Q: Is this a role you would have envisioned yourself in 10 years ago?
A: Yes, I’m on the path I expected or wanted to be on professionally

Q: We would love to hear about your professional journey that led to this role. Care to share?
A: I came from owning and operating a family restaurant and so had little or no knowledge of the corporate world. My training and mentoring over the years as well as many opportunities provided by the company has brought me to this point. I also have a paralegal designation, again another opportunity through the company that has contributed towards my personal and professional growth.

Q: Who was your role model growing up?
A: My father was a great man and he insisted that we ( my sister and me) put the stamp of excellence in anything we touched. The Dalai Lama’s teachings are my spiritual guidance. Since I joined UpLevel, Tracey Ivanyshyn is my role model and mentor. Right from the beginning she has provided support and guidance in my professional journey to where I am today. Over the years, I have developed a love and respect for her not only as my mentor but also as a great friend.

Q: What skill would you love to learn, at work or in general?
A: I would love to learn more technical skills.

Q: What would you say is the most fulfilling part of your role at UPLevel?
A: Being loved and appreciated.

Q: What is one experience you’ve had in the past week that truly exemplified UPLevel’s Culture of Caring?
A: Celebrating my 20 year work anniversary-I was overwhelmed with good wishes and enveloped with an abundance of love. It was a full day of celebration! I had cards from everyone, there were balloons , food , beverages, gifts and flowers, and so much more. My work family were all celebrating with me in full force.

Q: If you had to choose one “focus word” to represent your mindset and goals for the next year, what would it be?
A: Gratitude

Q: What is your hidden talent?
A: Playing the flute

Q: Which animal would you be?
A: An elephant – they are wise and strong.

Thank you Yangzom for taking time to share with our online community. And congratulations once again on 20 years with the UPLevel Work Family!
